These terms cover your use of the Relay app and service. By using Relay you agree to them.
Relay takes a note you write or dictate and sends it as an email to an address you choose. Notes are sent from an address on Relay's domain with your name as the sender and your email address as the reply-to, so replies reach you rather than us.
Relay sends mail from a domain we own, so its reputation is shared by everyone using the service. Misuse by one account can stop other people's notes being delivered. Because of that, these limits are strict.
Do not use Relay to:
We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, and we may do so immediately and without notice where continuing would put delivery for other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
A free account can send up to 30 notes per month to one destination, and includes dictation, widgets, Controls and the Action Button.
Relay+ costs $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year, and adds unlimited notes, multiple destinations, scheduled sending, signatures, and the AI clean-up and smart subject features. Prices are in US dollars; the price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy.
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are Apple's to give. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
If the price of a plan changes, existing subscribers will be told in advance through the App Store and may cancel before it takes effect.
Your notes are yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you write, and we do not use your notes to train models. We store and transmit them only to run the service — delivering your mail, keeping your history, and, where you have turned those features on, passing note text to our AI provider. You are responsible for having the right to send what you send, and for the consequences of sending it.
We try to keep Relay running and to deliver notes promptly, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, that a note will arrive at a particular time, or that a scheduled note will be delivered exactly on schedule. Email delivery depends on providers outside our control, and a recipient's mail server may delay, filter, or reject a message for reasons we cannot see.
Do not rely on Relay as the only copy of something important, or as a guaranteed reminder. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. That permanently erases your destinations, notes, history and scheduled sends. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that through Apple, or you will keep being charged.
Relay is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Relay is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and where an update materially affects your rights we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Relay after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that state will have exclusive jurisdiction.
