Questions, problems, or anything that looks wrong
Email support@relayapp.online. Tell us what you were doing and what happened — if a note didn't arrive, the time you sent it and the address it was going to helps most.
Notes are sent from Relay's own domain with your name as the sender, and your email address set as the reply-to — so replying reaches you directly. We can't send as your own address: mail claiming to come from a domain we don't control gets filtered or rejected by the receiving server. Set your name in Settings → Your name so recipients see who it's from.
Check the recipient's spam folder first — a new sending domain is treated cautiously until it has a delivery history. Then check Sent in the app: if the note is listed, it left Relay. If it's marked failed, the receiving server rejected it, and the address is usually the reason.
Scheduled notes are delivered by our servers, not your phone, so they go out whether or not the app is open — you can be offline or have the phone off. Delivery is checked every half minute, so a note may arrive up to about a minute after the time you picked.
Tap + next to the destination chips, or use Settings → Destinations → Add destination. Free accounts keep one destination; Relay+ removes the limit.
Yes — open the destination in Settings and set it as the default. The default is where the Action Button, widgets and Controls send to.
They shouldn't. Relay keeps listening through pauses and keeps everything said before them. If text is vanishing, please get in touch and say which iPhone and iOS version you're on.
Transcription uses Apple's speech recognition. On devices and languages that support it, this happens entirely on your phone. Otherwise iOS sends the audio to Apple. Relay never receives the audio — only the text that appears in the note field, which you can edit before sending.
Settings → Action Button, swipe to Shortcut, then choose Quick Capture to type or Speak a Note to dictate. Quick Capture sends without opening the app.
Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, and search for Relay. There are Home Screen and Lock Screen sizes.
Touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise → Lock Screen, then tap a bottom corner and choose Relay.
Unlimited notes, multiple destinations, scheduled sending, signatures, and the AI clean-up and smart subject features. $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Open Settings → Relay+ and tap Restore on the Relay+ screen, which re-checks your purchase with Apple. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the same Apple Account you bought with, then get in touch.
Cancelling is done through Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Relay. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your Relay account does not cancel the subscription — do that through Apple as well.
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We aren't able to refund App Store purchases ourselves.
Touch and hold a note in Sent and choose Delete. Note that deleting it from your history doesn't recall the email — once it's delivered, the recipient's copy is theirs.
Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your destinations, notes, history and scheduled sends. It can't be undone.
The Privacy Policy covers this in full, including exactly when note text is and isn't sent to an AI provider.
